Portland Trip

Posted by iBcHiRo

Well, one of my bestfriends, Katie, lives down in Portland with her husband. Our birthdays are just a day apart so we decided to celebrate together down there this last July. They took us to this river (that means it's really cold) and we went swimming in the muggy heat. It felt pretty nice actually, refreshing! This is Chantelle, me, Katie, and Sarah, hanging out, trying to get a tan, on a hard hard rock.

Here is Katie and her husband Brent, Chantelle, and Jimmy. In front of where they are sitting is a water hole that was pretty deep, but it still wasn't that big around. There were these three annoying teenagers, that kept jumping in the hole, while they were sitting there, splashing water all over them. Ha, ha, ha. It was pretty funny. Chantelle kept looking at them like, "What is wrong with you?"

This is a cliff right where we were swimming that everyone was jumping off of. That is Brent up there showing his manliness. There was one kid up there, that didn't just jump from the top of the cliff, he climbed maybe another 100ft up the tree and jumped off the branches. He was totally insane, and we all thought he was going to die. He didn't die, but he hurt himself as he hit branches on his way down. Total idiot.

That night we went to this Greek restaraunt in downtown Portland. There were tons of groups there for bachlorette parties and a couple of bachlor parties, and then of course those like us who were there for their birthdays. There was an MC who pretty much entertained us all that night, picking up tables with his teeth, he had everyone that was there for a special occation break plates...

...and when everyone else was getting a free mouthfull of Oozo, a Greek alcholoic drink, they made speical exeption and gave us water. You sit back with your mouth open and he pours until you say stop while everyone else cheers you on. The minute I opened my mouth, his eyes got wide, and on the microphone so everyone could hear he said...."You have a big mouth!" He meant it as a compliment if you know what I mean. Kind of embarassing.

There was a belly dancer, she was pretty good. Very nice toned body which you don't see really when it comes to belly dancing.

And of course there was dancing. The MC taught the guys and then the girls how to do some traditional dances, and then the floor was open for all the dancing we desired. It was a pretty fun night and the food was pretty good. It was definitely the place to go when you have something to celebrate. Mike unfortunately could not be there for some reason I couldn't remember. Oh well, maybe next time!
